Longevity Explorers

Nothing about us without us!


In addition to Geraldine, Tamara and Lars, our team consists of a growing group of Longevity Explorers. These explorers are the eyes and ears of the longer-living consumer. In fact, they are the longer-living consumer! So they know better than anyone what is going on.

Our longevity explorers work as sidekicks in developing your (future) products and services.

The Crane: Symbol of Longevity

The crane has impressed people for centuries. During a visit to Seoul in 2019, we discovered on an old temple wall that a crane symbolises longevity. In fables he lives to be a thousand years. The crane is the messenger of happiness, helpfulness and gratitude (Japan), freedom (Tibet), wisdom (China) and is renowned for its vigilance and foresight (Christianity). The Greeks and Romans portrayed him for his beautiful dance of love, joy and 'celebration of life'. Cranes look for companionship and after an extremely complicated mating ritual, they stay together for the rest of their lives. Cranes are special migratory birds that travel great distances and fly at high altitudes (above 7500 meters) when they migrate over the Himalayas.
